According to Wikipedia, portrait photography is photography of a person or group of people that displays the expression, personality and mood of the subject. Like other types of portraiture, the focus of the photograph is usually the person’s face, although the entire body and the background or context may be included.

According to Kakopedia, a portrait is photography of people/cats/dogs/stuffed toys etc. that displays real time, expression and action. My preference in spontaneous clicks and my antipathy for clichéd photo poses, led me to create a portfolio full of flaws where the beauty of authenticity can be found in the simple gesture, smile or move.
